Biography
Emmanuel Sibanda is a Lecturer and a researcher in the Department of Banking and Economic Sciences, National University of Science and Technology. In the lecturing position, Emmanuel teaches microeconomics and macroeconomics. Before joining the National University of Science and technology, Emmanuel worked for as a Data Analyst, Researcher and a Mathematics teacher. He has been involved in consultancy covering Zimbabwean manufacturing sector surveys and impact of statutory instruments on the manufacturing sector, and further involved on a short term consultancy covering the chapter on climate change and education for the Zimbabwe Human Development Report 2017, a United Nations Development Program initiative. He holds BSc. and MSc. in Economics, both from the University of Zimbabwe. Emmanuel specializes in applied econometrics and applied micro and macroeconomics. His research interests include digital banking and digital innovation uptake, central banking, agriculture financing, ttechnological adoption by farmers and climate change. Emmanuel has further supervised numerous undergraduate dissertations and currently serves as an examinations coordinator in the Department of Banking and Economic Sciences, termination of studies committee in the Faculty of Business Sciences and Curriculum Development Committee in the Department.
