Biography

Mr. Stevenson Okuhle Dhlamini is a lecturer in the Department of Banking and Economic in the faculty of Business and Economic Sciences at Sciences at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Zimbabwe, where he has worked since 2011. He has supervised many undergraduate research projects over the years in the areas of Banking and Economic Sciences. He is a board member of the Banking and Economic Sciences department and well as the faculty of Business and Economic Sciences. Inspired by thought-leaders like Michael Porter, Mr. Dhlamini is committed to pursuing innovative, impact-focused work. With an outgoing personality and gift for bringing people together around important issues, he aims to help shape strategic decision-making and equitable solutions by equipping leaders and the public with fact-based perspectives. Through his expertise and ability to engage diverse audiences, Mr. Dhlamini works to inform discussion on challenges and opportunities facing Zimbabwe's future.

Community Engagement

As an experienced lecturer and economic analyst, Mr. Dhlamini has extensively consulted with government, civic, and private sector organizations, advising them on important policy and strategic economic issues. He has consulted and facilitated for organizations such as the Zimbabwean Broadcasting Corporation TV, ZIMCCOD, Transparency International Zimbabwe, The Girls Table, Diamond(Mutare), Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce, Newsday Zimbabwe, Chronicle Newspaper, Zimbabwe Independent News, Voice of America News, Southern African Association of Accountants, Construction Industry Federation of Zimbabwe, Charted Institute of Governance in Zimbabwe(Former CIS). He is also the patron for the Banking and Investment Management Students Association. He is the Career Guidance representative for the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences for more than 15 years. Passionate about using data-driven analysis to advance public policy and economic justice, he is a dynamic presenter known for clearly communicating sometimes complex analyses in a relatable way.
