Herbet Anele Dube is a lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies. He holds PhD in Communication Studies from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He has over 10 years of knowledge and experience in the development sector in Zimbabwe having worked with both media and development institutions. His experience is largely in the areas of Communication for Development, Participatory Research (including impact evaluations), Knowledge Management, Results-Based Management and Project Planning, and Management, Strategic Communication.  His research interests are in the areas of social power relations and participatory development, religion, and development.

Conference Presentations:

Co-presented the paper title: ‘Questioning the potential of digital and information literacy programs as avenues for universalizing knowledge on digital fact-checking’ at the International Conference on Communication and Information Science, 2023, hosted by Nust.
